Hier, Amorphis, Arch Enemy et Nightwish à Paris-Bercy. C'était vraiment très fort et certains moments pour ainsi dire inoubliables. Vocalement, Floor Jansen est vraiment impressionnante, plus encore que je ne m'y attendais en live.

Morceau qui m'ont bien fait plaisir sur ce live :

(En fait pour Nightwish, ce qui m'a le plus marqué, c'était The Greatest Show on Earth parce que j'ADORE ce putain de morceau, mais comme il a déjà été posté, je ne l'ai pas remis, n'hésitez par à retourner l'écouter. Je dois admettre que Ghost Love Score avec Floor ça envoie du lourd, hésitez pas à aller voir la vidéo du Live au brésil).

En fait c'est en entendant Floor chanter les chansons des albums sortis avec Anette que tu te rends compte que ce sont de bonnes chansons, une fois chantés par une chanteuse qui a de la voix.

J'avoue avoir été bluffé par The Greatest Show on Earth, je ne pensais pas qu'un jour ils la joueraient en live (parce que bon, elle fait 24 minutes, ils jouent les 18 premières et s'en vont sur la fin qui passe en fond).

Le seul problème de ce concert (et touts points épique par ailleurs), c'est que Amorphis a commencé à 19h20 alors que le billet indiquait 20h… du coup, je n'ai entendu que 5 minutes de ce groupe…

Allez, du bon folk/viking metal islandais dont le concert a déjà été posté ici mais je voulais poster deux chansons individuelles que je trouve magnifiques (Skálmöld):

Je me suis enfin décidé à écouter le dernier album de Xandria. Il est très bon, je trouve. En tout cas, cette chanson m'a vraiment plu (désolé pour la qualité, ça sature par moment, mais c'est la moins pire que j'ai trouvé sur Youtube).

Je repasse sur le topic

A propos de Xandria, j'ai découvert via la chanson Nightfall mais j'ai l'impression que c'est un cran au-dessous de Nightwish, dans le sens où dans cette chanson, la chanteuse ne va pas "au bout" et coupe sa voix rapidement plutôt que de la faire un peu traîner comme en opéra. Faudrait que j'écoute un peu plus de chansons.

De même pour Leave's Eye, les quelques chansons que j'ai écouté étaient assez années 90's avec un style où il y a une chanteuse avec une voix monotone et une sorte de mélodie rock légèrement atténuée derrière, mais les chansons postées ici de leur dernier album sont un peu plus rythmées, je réessayerai

Nous arrivons à l’endroit où Lake et son équipe avaient dressé leur camp. Une décharge glaciale, plus intense que le froid ambiant qui me mord le visage, me traverse l’échine quand je vois les installations dévastées. Un chaos indescriptible s’était abattu sur mes compagnons d’infortune. Les cadavres jonchent le sol. Hommes, animaux, personne n’avait été épargné. J’avance vers la tente dans laquelle Lake avait dû faire ses analyses. En voyant cette empreinte sur le sol, je comprends. Elles n’étaient pas mortes, juste endormies. Et il les a réveillées…

Les choses très anciennes étaient restées endormies durant des millénaires, emprisonnées dans leur cercueil de glace. Un regard sur les restes du campement me fait comprendre notre erreur. Nous avions cru avec fierté nous trouver devant des fossiles inconnus, sans jamais imaginer l’innommable vérité. Sans le vouloir, nous avions précipité notre chute, vers la folie, et la mort.

L’horreur liée à nos découvertes ne nous arrêta pas dans notre quête de savoir. Pourtant nous avions compris que ces connaissances pouvaient amener l’Homme à sa perte, à sa chute. Nous avançons encore et encore au sein de cette innommable cité cyclopéenne. Les choses très anciennes avaient succombées au froid du désert blanc, mais pas leur création. Abomination informe mais polymorphe, nous entendons son cri aigu et détestable se rapprocher, comme un avertissement, présageant notre rencontre imminente et inévitable.

En fait, le principal problème de cette chanson, c'est que le faux rythme du refrain est tellement vicieux qu'ils sont presque incapables de le réussir en concert (il y a toujours un moment où Simone Simons part trop vite).

En tout cas j'aime beaucoup le son d'Epica et le mélange voix classique/growl.

Est-ce que tu pourrais faire des posts sur un artiste en particulier de temps en temps ? Par exemple comme tu viens de le faire. Tu pourrais mettre une ou deux vidéos et dire "pour en découvrir d'autres, je recommande les chansons suivantes:". Ça permettrait de pouvoir découvrir plus facilement un nouveau groupe. (au passage, dans le cas d'Epica et Skálmöld, j'ai découvert grâce à toi, merci !)
